Typhoon break makes banks tender foreign currency

The China Post - Taiwan's central bank offered 20 banks foreign currency yesterday because financial markets were closed due to Typhoon Wipha. Banks were offered US$3.06 billion in U.S. dollars and 2 billion yen (US$17.4 million), the central bank said in a faxed statement. Full Story
